Proofreading

I spent the day proofreading Kansas Courtship. I've got a 120 ms pages to go and I think my eyes are going to fall out! When I get to this stage, I can only hope nothing embarrassing falls through the crack. I like my books to be squeaky clean, but a writer has to be realistic. This ms is 75,000 words. MS Word tells me it has over 400,000 characters. That's a lot of keystrokes. I can hardly wait for that trip to the post office!

Exciting stuff, Vicki!! BTW - I just bought The Maverick Preacher and am looking forward to it after I finish the book I'm currently reading. (Unfortunately it's a long book - The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory).

I love HEA books. I love HEA movies. I want to be inspired by what I pay to read or to view. I just read your blog at Petticoats & Pistols and I felt good just reading it.

I feel for you reading a book that is so long.
