What I'm Reading

I spent almost all day at the computer working on Chapter 20 of the next book. It's been a long haul and my brain is fried. I needed a break so I went to K-Mart with my husband. While he looked at motor oil, I checked out the book section.

My local K-Mart is surprising. They have a terrific selection of books, and it's heavy on romance. I'm happy to say the April LIH's were sold out, and the regular LIs and LISs were down to a few books. I hope they restock. The LIHs have been out for less than two weeks. From everything I've heard, the Mother's Day anthology is a hit. I hope LIH does more of them. It's a great way to pay tribute to moms.

For a change of pace from straight inspirationals, I picked up a Harlequin Romance, Her Cattleman Boss by Barbara Hannay. I'm 50 pages into it and loving the story. You can't beat the Outback for a change of scenery. I've read two other books by Barbara, including her Rita winner, Claiming His Family. I'm definitely a fan.
